Anyone have porcelain veneers?

It just seems it's obvious when people get them because their teeth are much bigger and horsey looking. Such as Phil and Robin McGraw, Hillary Duff. They can barely close they're mouth.


Do they all turn out that big?

Not all veneers look so horrible. We do veneers in our office everyday almost and we have never had an unsatisfied patient. Our are very natural looking. I can't wait to have mine done next month!

Also Dr. Dorfman DDS who does instant makeover on TV, can do them well. It all depends on the dentist and the lab that makes them, so select a dentist that can you his portfolio first of previous cases like the ones I mentioned. Good luck. Don't hesitate to ask more.
Reply:No they do not all turn out big. It is based on your teeth. They file them down slightly and have the lab make veneers. However, these usually stain quickly and need replacement to look better. If you drink coffee, tea, soda, etc I would not recommend veneers. After a few years they look crappy.
Reply:If you find a good dentist ,he has also a good tehnician and they make your veneers the same size as your teeth were.
