Has any one had porcelain veneers put in? does it hurt to get done? Have you had any problems or complications

I am thinking of getting veneers done, I am really excited about the possiblility but I have no idea what it will be like. If you have had this done, I want to know your experiance, if it hurt, if you had complications, or what you hate about having veneers, it's odvious what the pro's are, thanks in advance!

I'm on my second set --upper and lower. They cost a fortune but THEY ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY. It takes a while to trust them-- you feel they will damage but once you're used to t hem they are part of you. I would not have spent the money a second time if I hadn't trusted them, You get about 5 years with them before they need to be replaced

But maybe you will have longer --It depends if you eat hard foods I suppose.

It does do not hurt to have them applied-- just hand clutchy!!!!!!!!
Reply:My husband has them and other than being very expensive, likes them. The problem is that if you get cavities in these teeth, the dentist will tell you that they probably will crack your beautiful veneers and insurance doesn't usually pay for replacements, which is what we are finding out after 5 years.
Reply:Veneers done right are a work of art. You can chip them easy- no more hard candy, chewing on pins, they are super simple to do, Make sure you like the shade and shape of them take a friend you trust with you or just ask ofr a mirror before they glue them on. They are really like a fake finger nail, but made for the tooth. Do not leave the chair without loving them. Let him know immediately if you don't like something. They are expensive.
