Can porcelain veneers be trimmed?

I've had porcelain veneers on my upper canines for a couple of months. They look nice. However, they are bigger and longer than my canines used to be and it feels unconfortable. Is it possible to trim them in order to make them smaller and shorter? Or would they need to be replaced?

Can porcelain veneers be trimmed?
Porcelain veneers can definitely be trimmed but within certain limits. Shortening veneers is not a problem. Making

"bigger" veneers look smaller may not be possible. If by bigger you mean too thick, it is probably not possible to thin them without weakening them. The same would be true if by bigger you mean they are too wide.

It would be best to check with the dentist who placed the veneers.

I hope this helps.
