Porcelain veneers!?

Does anyone have them, and if so how do you like them? I tried Zoom technology to whiten my teeth. My teeth look great indoors, but are yellow and grey outdoors. I can tell from pictures that are taken.

My teeth are straight, and I already have big teeth. Do porcelain veneers make your teeth look bigger? Do they still appear yellow or grey in the outdoors? How long do they last? And how much do they cost? How long does it take to do the procedure? How much do they cost?

Porcelain veneers!?
First let me start here. not everyone is a candidate for Veneers. since you have tried bleaching and you feel like it didn't work out for your, the next step would be Veneers. Porcelain Veneers generally run about 1000-1300 (+ or -) a piece. Most often the front six teeth (canine to canine) are prepped. but sometimes the premolars behind the canines are prepped. This means you would be changing 6-8 teeth. the appt for this varies. some dentists are faster than others. faster does not usually mean better. research your options. don't just go to whoever is closest to your house. you want someone who does quality work and stands behind it. this is a true investment of time and money. get the best. this is your smile we are talking about.

Veneers usually aren't covered under insurance. the only time it would be covered is if you fractured a single tooth.

Generally Veneers give a much more ideal smile, shape and color. if the dr is good the will do a "try in' before they actually cement the veneers onto your teeth. this will let you see if your are happy w/ the shape (which actually is important) and color. womens teeth tend to be more curved at the corners and mens teeth are much more robust/square.

the procedure could last anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on who preforms it. you will wear temporary veneers for a few weeks. expect some cold sensitivity and having to be watch how you bite into things. you should aks about wearing a nightguard after the veneers are seated permanently. this will help protect your investment.

Research it. ask around your area. and even make some appts just for consultations and dentist could give you a better idea on how much/length of appt.

Good Luck!

Reply:about the size no...no change will happpen ...they will not look yellow or grey..the procedures takes about 3-4 visits...
