Will porcelain veneers stain with coffee, tea, ciggaretts and root beer?

I am not a candidate for bleaching for many reasons. I need to know if porcelain veneers ( a huge investment) can stand the test of time and continue to be white and stain free while still smoking and drinking coffee and tea.

Will porcelain veneers stain with coffee, tea, ciggaretts and root beer?
No, porcelain veneers will not change color. The color you and your dentist choose will be the color of your veneers forever. You're investing a large sum of money into your mouth and you need protect that investment. If you smoke and drink a lot of coffee you may get slight surface staining, but that can easily be removed with regular cleanings from your hygienist. As for longevity, you should be a little more careful about eating certain foods. Don't crack sunflower seeds or rip beef jerky with your veneers. If something does break or crack most dentists and their labs will give a 5 year warranty.
Reply:From what I understand, yes.
Reply:Yes, eventually they will stain- not to mention- they are all things your body will do well without!

You will pay for them in no time with all of the money you will save from not buying cancer sticks anymore!!

Good luck!
Reply:Yes, but it brushes away. You may have to spend a little time brushing. And if you can't do it, your dentist or dental hygienist can.

For investment purposes figure a life of 20 years.
Reply:no they don't stain the composite laminates stain and porcelain chips easily
Reply:YES porcelain veneers will stain. Brushing 3 times a day will help. Also try drinking through a straw, it may sound silly to drink coffee through a straw but it helps. Regular 6 month cleaning appointments will help keep your veneers looking good.
Reply:The answer is no. Veneers when properly glazed will not stain.
