Porcelain Veneers?

Have you ever gotten porcelain veneers or lumineers?? I am interested in getting one of them for a few stained teeth. I'm curious as to how you liked them, and what the process and cost was.

Porcelain Veneers?
As long as performed by a good dentist they always look great. Concerns with lumineers: they are very thin + expensive. How long will they last if they are so thin? Veneers are also great looking and expensive the only problem sometimes involved is they do not always last that long b/c they do not cover the entire back side of your tooth. Crowns involve more tooth surface. They cover the entire front and back of teeth and usually seem to last longer for your money. There are pros and cons to all three options though. Prices differ by location. Crowns and veneers can run from $600 to $2000.
Reply:The process for getting traditional veneers is horrible! ack! Your teeth are filed down and covered with porcelain. They tend to look a little fake/game show host-ish.
Reply:Two of my friends along with my mother have had veneers done. As long as they are done right and don't look comepletely fake then they are great! I think it is a very good idea and they instantly improve your look! A pretty smile is so important to every face. Good luck!
Reply:I was interented in getting veneers and my dentist told me that insurance does not pay and they cost like 600 bucks a tooth....so unless I win the lottery, my teeth will proably stay a little crooked.
